Known as the Corn Cob, this delightful plant is yellow/green with soft spines. The Mammillaris is native to the thorny bushlands of South Africa. They are nicknamed the Corn Cob for the appearance of their stalk this is a variagated variety which more closely resembles a corn cob.

The Mammillaris has stems which are bright green colored with light colored spines. In cold temperatures, stems can turn pink. It produces red and orange flowers.

They like small pots with tight roots. These are easy to grow once established and can ultimately reach several feet in height, giving the appearance of a bush. They seem to do best in bright sunlight. They should be kept dry during winter, water generously in Spring/Summer growing season.

Our cactus and succulent plants are all grown in the same conditions and, although not identical, are similar in size and shape to the one pictured. Plants will ship potted.
